Sivabalan was educated in England and trained as a Barrister at King’s Inn,  Dublin, Ireland and was called to the Irish Bar and is admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.

Sivabalan is a senior practitioner and has extensive experience in corporate and commercial litigation matters and constantly appears in all tiers of the Malaysian Courts. He also handles employment and industrial relation matters as well as arbitration suits.
 

He has advised and acted for a large number of International Corporations and major Malaysian Companies in contentious and non-contentious matters. Further, in the corporate sphere of practise, he also advises a number of government linked companies and public listed companies. He also advises and acts for a number of leading developers on mix development strata property dispute matters.
 

Sivabalan has been engaged in a variety of practice areas within litigation and alternative dispute resolution matters and he is also regularly invited to speak at seminars and in house training workshops.
